Notantico Woods is Woods Hole’s first affordable housing project and is conveniently located less than three miles from Falmouth Center and less than two miles from Woods Hole village. It was completed in 2015.
The Notantico Woods Apartments sit on a 3-acre parcel in scenic Woods Hole. Originally developed as a single-family home, the home was foreclosed on and acquired by the Falmouth Housing Corporation. The large single family home structure was repurposed and became two buildings utilizing classic Cape Cod architecture with a large porch area and ample outdoor space. The property has eleven 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, and one handicap-accessible unit. Apartment sizes range from 590 – 1,100 square feet. The property is considered low income – ranging from 30% – 60% of Area Median Income (see AMI table).
The Cape Cod Regional Transportation bus line runs along Woods Hole Road. Residents enjoy a bucolic setting, with ample parking and laundry and trash facilities on site. Local attractions close by include the Shining Sea Bike Path, several major scientific organizations, downtown Woods Hole restaurants, shops, libraries, several harbors and beaches and The Steamship Authority.
